Outreach & Scholarship Committee
Our Mission
The Outreach and Scholarship Committee supports the mission of PWC Boston by leveraging its community towards involvement in charitable organizations and giving, and volunteerism within expanding school partnerships. This committee is focused on creating opportunity while promoting equity, including advancing women of all ages, in the AEC fields. The committee also seeks to impact the AEC workforce by designing exposure pathways and connecting students directly with industry earlier in their academic career. The committee oversees the PWC Boston student scholarship program, makes charitable donations to local organizations, and regularly mobilizes PWC membership to engage with high school and college students to build a diverse pipeline. Intentionality and inclusiveness are the driving force behind each of these initiatives.
Outreach Opportunities
PWC Boston Chapter offers an easy path to volunteer, and connect individuals/companies to community. The approach is to provide both broad AEC exposure as well as deeper discipline-specific experiences, to both students and faculty. With an ever-growing list of partnerships, the demand will always exceed supply! Interested in volunteering? Check out some upcoming opportunities to participate at several Greater Boston high schools and colleges.
Annual Scholarship Program
The PWC Boston Chapter offers multiple scholarships to support high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students pursuing careers in architecture, engineering, construction, or related trades. Open to individuals of all genders, the program recognizes students who demonstrate strong financial need and active involvement in leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities. Scholarships are available to those based in the New England area (Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Rhode Island) who are attending colleges, universities, community colleges, or trade schools.
Interested in applying? Scholarship applications open early spring. Our selection committee grants scholarship awards by end of April.
