Boston Built to Lead 2026 Women’s Summit
On Wednesday, May 20, members of the Boston Chapter of Professional Women in Construction gathered at Bentley University for the 2026 Boston Built to Lead Women’s Summit, hosted by the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC MA).
Centered around the theme of Power, Progress & Presence in the Built Environment, the summit brought together professionals from across construction, architecture, engineering, development, and real estate for a day focused on leadership, mentorship, collaboration, and career longevity.
As the first summit of its kind, the event highlighted the importance of strengthening connections across the built environment and creating opportunities for women at every stage of their careers to lead, influence, and shape the future of our industry.
PWC Boston President Natasha Marcuard reflected on the collaboration behind the event, sharing:
“As an organization that was founded under the idea that we are stronger together, bringing these powerhouse organizations together to build and execute a Women’s Summit only strengthens our impact. Each industry organization represented yesterday has missions that are similar and the Women’s Summit is where they meet in the middle.”
Throughout the day, attendees participated in meaningful conversations surrounding mentorship, sponsorship, women’s health, professional identity, cross-industry collaboration, and sustaining long-term careers in the AEC industry.
Kim Cochrane shared a reflection that perfectly captured the spirit and impact of the day:
“Listening to the conversations and stories throughout the summit made me realize how much I still have to give to this industry. It reminded me that now is the time to lean in and support the next generation of women coming up behind us.”
Geetha Rajeswar echoed a similar sentiment, emphasizing the importance of stepping forward together:
“If there was one key takeaway for me, it would be the idea of ‘leaning in.’ This summit was a powerful reminder that growth often happens outside our comfort zones, and when we lean in together, we amplify one another and create meaningful impact across the built environment for all of us.”
“Grateful to have been part of such an empowering event and conversation – and even more grateful to be part of a PWC organization that values every voice at the table.”
Thank you to AGC MA, the speakers, panelists, sponsors, and attendees who made this impactful event possible. The future of the built environment is stronger when women support, mentor, and elevate one another.
